A tarot card reader must be a person who is educated in the cards they read knowing the meanings with out question, but they also must be a person that can pick up what another person is feeling, they must be a warm and out going person in order to give a proper reading that is filled with human emotion. If they are not the person having their cards read will not enjoy or learn from the reading and will leave unfulfilled, with out a true interest in learning and reading cards a person might just as soon use an arcade fortune teller that they can place a coin in the slot to hear their fortune. In today’s world many people tout themselves as card readers who feel this is an easy way to make a living where a true card reader do not need to worry about making money because their business will grow, and with it so will the amount of money they make.
Often people who have their cards read and use it as a way to aid them in decisions will have their cards read often and will use the same card reader because they in one way feel they have forged a type of relationship with this person who they feel knows their innermost feelings. These clients are repeat business and with the confidence they have with this card reader they will bring new business as they will recommend this card reader.
More importantly the true card reader has a need to use this gift that they have developed and honed into a craft where they can help others know what might lay ahead and how they can approach the situation. Just as a painter must paint a card reader also needs to use their craft.
For the person who is not a card reader but has a growing interest in reading tarot cards there are many ways they can learn to read cards, there is much information on the internet today, there are online classes to learn to read the tarot deck and the different spreads that can be used for different situations and these classes are set in a way that each card reader can take their own pace with the learning process.
There are websites that are dedicated to the card reader where they can learn new information, refresh themselves of information they may have long forgotten, the new reader that will glean much information from these websites and there are message boards where card readers old or new can talk of different decks that are used, spreads old and new, meanings of a card placed in a certain way in a reading and even business. Many of these message boards once a member for some time become rather friendly and like a place to go have coffee with friends. However no matter how friendly there is still much to be learned by the new card reader, even how to interact with clients or problem readings.
While the internet is filled with information for the card reader, it also is filled with websites for the person that would like to have their cards read, ranging from places where a person can have their cards read free or ones that the person pays for the reading.
There are other places that a person can learn about reading tarot cards, book stores are filled with many books on the subject of the tarot card and card reading, books that will explain about reading the cards, books that explain what the cards mean and books that will do both all in one book, there are also books that will explain all the different spreads that can be used to do a reading.
If a person is not sure that they would like to invest more than the purchase of a deck of tarot cards until they are certain that they can read them properly a library is a place where books can be found that do not have to be purchased but can be borrowed for an amount of time. This will give the beginning reader a look into the art of reading tarot cards and give them the knowledge if they should pursue reading tarot cards or if they are a person that is better having their cards read for them as this is an art and not every person can discern what the story the tarot cards are telling when they are laid out in a spread.
